Answer: Solé was started by a group of college friends, in Southern California, who became infatuated by fixies and the locals riding them by our school. We couldn’t figure out why they were so expensive so we trekked the globe in hopes of creating and selling a well-built, fun to ride, beautiful, and affordable bicycle. We love the idea of commuting by cycle, staying healthy and ditching the car, in combination of the fixie culture.
Usually, it’s better to get a frame that is a little too small than one that is too large. You can adjust some of the moving parts like the seat and handlebars to make the frame the perfect size for you. Please see the diagram above, along with detailed specs by collection located on each product page to find your frame size.
What are the shipping timelines?

We are currently experiencing a higher than normal volume of orders at this time. We thank you for all of the support, but due to this volume, our warehouse is experiencing an extra 1 - 2 days to process your order.
Coincidently, FedEx has a higher than normal shipping volume which paired with extra handling precautions, has added 1-3 days to the shipping timeline.
We apologize for any delay getting you your new Solé, but want to assure you that we are doing our best to get your orders out as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patients and as always, we're here to answer any of your questions.
Answer: Orders will ship in about 24-48 business hours after you place your order. Our warehouse operates 9am-5pm Monday-Friday excluding national holidays. You will receive an automated tracking email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Please check your spam/ junk folder as sometimes that tracking email ends up in there.
Our orders ship Fed Ex Ground from zip code 91761. Once shipped, orders deliver in 1-5 business days depending on your destination zip code. A signature is not required for delivery. Check out the Fed Ex Ground shipping map for an estimated shipping timeline on your order.
Answer: Our bicycles are shipped via FedEx, shipping directly to your door from our California warehouse. FedEx does not require a signature upon delivery. We offer flat rate shipping for $30.00 on all bicycles anywhere in the contiguous United States (Lower 48). A $15.00 shipping fee will be applied to any accessory order under $150.00. Answer: When orders are insured with Route, all lost, damaged, or stolen items are taken care of with a seamless one-click claims process. When a claim is filed with Route, Route will refund or reorder the item in 24 hours, giving you confidence in knowing your order will arrive safely.
Answer: Yes! When orders are insured with Route, any items stolen off of your porch is covered by Route, even after the item is marked as delivered.
Answer: If you opted to insure your order with Route at checkout, Route will have sent you an email after checkout. In that email, you will find the information you need in order to file a claim. You can also go to route.com to file a claim.
How Quickly do I need to file a claim for my lost, damaged, or stolen order?
Answer: Immediately! We suggest at the first moment you think something is wrong, initiate a claim with Route. Route has a 15 day window of time from the moment your order has been marked delivered. Answer: Yes. Not only is Route a licensed insurance company, they knew they had to get the biggest name in shipping insurance as a partner to roll out a marquee product and secured Lloyds of London as their insurance partner.
Answer: The cost is only around 1.5% of the cart value or .98 cents if the order value is under $100 to fully protect your order from being lost, damaged, or stolen during the shipping process.
Answer: At this time, we are only shipping internationally to Canada. We do also ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and some US territories. Shipping costs will be automatically calculated based on the items in your cart and the shipping address entered on the order.
Your Solé will come in a large brown box plastered with some awesome art across it. You won’t miss it- and your mailman will probably hate you. Your bicycle will come 85% assembled. Assembly is super simple. You need to screw in the pedals, handlebars, install the front rim, drop the seat in, and put some air in the tires. You will need a few tools for assembly– don’t worry they all come in the box! We recommend going to your local bicycle shop to have them check it out, but you can totally do it yourself.
Answer: In short, unicorns and rainbows…. But seriously all Solé Bicycles come standard with a durable hi-tensile steel frame and industry standard components. The whole bicycle weighing in at a light 26lbs. Our frames and forks are built and assembled by hand. They are made from post-consumer recycled Hi-Tensile steel, trying to stay as green as possible. They are TIG welded for maximum durability. All our bicycles are built to last, and we stand behind every product we make with our Solé guarantee.
A flip-flop hub (as shown above) comes standard on all of our Fixed Gear and Single Speed bicycles. The flip flop hub allows you to ride either Fixed Gear or Single Speed just by rotating the back wheel. Some of you may not even yet know the difference… yet.
Single Speed means you are riding with just one gear, kind of like a beach cruiser, but you can coast, chill out, and relax while riding. You will use the front brake as your primary means of slowing or stopping. The front brake is more than enough power to slow or stop you down even the biggest of hills, and our geometry is designed so that no matter how hard you brake, you won’t flip over.
Fixed Gear means the bicycle is in movement only when you are. In other words, you cannot coast riding fixed. Some of you may be asking, “Why would I ever want to ride a bike like that?” It’s a matter of personal preference, and once people ride their bicycle fixed, they usually don’t ever go back. You feel extremely connected to the road and have complete control over your bicycle, not to mention you can do some radical maneuvers and ride at high speeds.
When flipping from a Single Speed drivetrain to a Fixed Gear drivetrain, it is recommended to tighten the Fixed Gear cog and lock ring prior to flipping the wheel over to the Fixed Gear drivetrain. Stripped hub threads on the fixed hub portion are not covered under warranty after long term use before flipping.
Again, the radness of a Solé with flip flop hub technology is that your new bicycle, is kind of like getting two bicycles in one!
A coaster brake (as shown above) comes standard on all of our City Cruiser Bicycles. The coaster brake allows you to cruise around the streets in an efficient cruiser style, you will be able to coast, then when it comes time to slow or stop, you simply pedal backwards which triggers the brake to slow or stop.

Answer: OHHHH NOOOOO!!!!! If you ordered the wrong frame size, let us know ASAP by sending your order number to firstname.lastname@example.org. We offer a flat rate shipping charge of $30.00 each way if you decide you want to make an exchange. Otherwise, returning the bicycle without an exchange will be $45.00 for a return shipping label.
Can I use multiple discount codes?
Answer: You can not use multiple discount codes on an order. Only one discount code can be used per order. Discount codes will not work on already discounted items.
What is the Warranty Policy?
Answer: Solé Bicycles provides its bicycle frames and forks with a five (5) year warranty against material and workmanship defects. This warranty does not cover bicycle components, parts, accessories, paint or decals, and can be void if the bicycle was improperly assembled, has been modified or has been subject to beyond normal wear and tear. This warranty does not cover return shipping to Solé, nor does it cover any labor involved in frame, fork or other component replacement. Product defects must be confirmed by either photograph or a professional bicycle mechanic. This warranty is valid only for original owners in the United States.
Can I customize my bicycle?
Answer: All bicycles will come as is. If you are interested in customization, (e.g. changing saddle color, handlebars, rims, tire color, etc.) you would purchase the desired accessory in addition to the bicycle. Once shipped, you would swap out the parts as desired. If you are local to one of our retail locations, we can offer swap outs for an applicable fee.
